This couloir is high on the lists of all skiers wishing to push themselves on steep ground and take the sport to the next level.
The ascent is long if you climb it and short if you take the Aiguille De Midi cable car, up to the head of the Vallee Blanche.
On the top you don’t take the route down to the Mer de Glace but you go around the back of the Aguille to the west face and then direct down to Chamonix.
