The Marinelli couloir is the longest ski routes in the alps.
Situated in the east face of the Monte Rosa massif.
The ascent starts in the village of Gressoney by taking the ski lifts to passo dei Salati, then via the Gnifetti hut all the way up to the Zumsteinspitze or to the Silbersattel, or from the Swiss side via the Monte Moro Pass, or from Zermatt passing by the Breithorn. Of course the easiest is to fly up with the helicopter.
The descent is amazing long, steep and breathtaking. A freeriders and ski-mountaineers dream. You ski down to Pecetto and with good snow you reach Macugnaga.
