Ogso Jaeger 80
A great ski on the uphill due to its lightweight build. However, unlike other skis with comparable low weight, it does not lack downhill performance. The Jaeger 80 skis exceptionally well in steep terrain and hard snow conditions. Albeit not designed for the deep days, it also handles powder nicely. This is hands down one of the most versatile skis I have ever skied.

Schwarztor – Lightweight Fun
The Schwarztor is now in its third Season under my feet. This ski is a real Do-it-All-Fun-Ski! No matter if you use it on an evening quick tour running fast uphill with those trained skinny guys, or if you enjoy a long day in the big mountains with 1500m climbs or more – with a Marker Alpinist binding, the set is so lightweight, that you walk like nothing! When it comes to descend, the Schwarztor shines especially when you like narrow corners, when you play with the ground, if you like tree skiing! It turns quickly with an ease, but stays stable enough even under higher speeds. For sure the Schwarztor shines most in soft snow, powder and slush – but it is astonishing, how well it can handle icy conditions when they occur. But here I prefer my Thor (See other Testimonial).
The Thor – when you want confidence
Beside my beloved Schwarztor, I bought last year a pair of Thor. With the ATK Crest you get s mindblowing lightweight set of Touring Skis under your feet. The Thor is a bit narrower than the Schwarztor, has less frontrocker, no tailrocker, and a lot of camber. Surely it has a longer egde contact, so the Thor has more stability and grip on icy steep terrain. On the other hand – although not as playfull as the Schwarztor – it is still easy and fun to ski, because it is so lightweight. In deep powder the tips never dive, and you can really ski fast and hard. The Thor is really a Do-it-All-Ski for those who love more the traditional Camber style Skis instead of huge Rockers!

OGSO skis
I skied the Schwarztor 100 UL for 2 seasons. I skied it well into 100 days, on big days mountain guiding and my days off shredding with friends and colleagues. The first season I used it for everything as my only ski, mounted with a light ski touring pin binding. Being able to use one ski for everything I needed is a testament to its easy going diversity.

Very reliable skis as well as performing at the same time
OGSO skis are unique in their class, with the super rocker and the right flex it is certainly very manageable on any terrain. Even the sizes of the skis are studied with perfection to ensure the best performance at the time of use. The skis are very playable, in the fresh snow I feel great in all snow conditions. They also perform very well on the slopes.

Skiing made great again
Tried quite a lot of skis in the past but with Ogso I have finally found the ski that matches me perfectly. Really Stable whilst still being easy to maneuver! They turn great days into fantastic ones and manage to make me smile even on the shitty ones! Its quite hard to describe them without sounding like a Salesman, so I guess everybody should try them!

The Schwarztor: Versatile and joy to ski
During the last weeks I had the opportunity to test Ogso´s Schwarztor Ski during a few resort ski-days and (for me more important) on a lot of skitours in the mountains of Upper Austria. Reliable skis that make skiing fun
Working as a guide I want my skis to be reliable in all types of snow from early winter to late spring. This year I extended this period with summer expedition to Pakistan. Skiing with mountain boots was surprisingly a great fun. Why and how in mountain boots is already another story, but skis are really well responding and great fun to ski in different
THE QUIET FORCE
My choice was therefore the Schwarztor (named for a nice pass accessible by hiking near Zermatt), mounted with Shift bindings. The skis are part of the collection “Carbon Ultra light”, in 178cm they are 1,450 kg (each). They benefit from “Super Rocker” and “Flex Performance” technologies. In detail it is a flat camber with big rocker.
